Neck and shoulder pain

  • Caused by stress of daily life

  • Easily relieved with stretching and posture

 BALANCING ACT

Layers of muscle run up to our head from the shoulders, chest, and upper back.  Like support cables for a water tower, they balance our large head on our slender neck.

In motion all day long, our support muscles need to stretch and shift in response to our every movement.  Working on computers, driving, even watching TV put stress on these areas.

Growing tired and sore, these muscles often tighten up, making it hard to move without pain.

 TREATMENT

Posture is not a dirty word!  It's just another word for balancing our body against the pull of gravity.

Assessment is critical to determine where the stress is on the neck and shoulders, and what is the best way to release it.

Stretching and posture exercises can quickly help relieve pain, often with a single session.  Posture techniques help prevent pain from coming back.
