 SOFT TISSUE DAMAGE

Massage therapists are soft tissue specialists.  Many medical conditions are caused by soft tissue damage.

Treating the symptoms with medication and surgery, should only be attempted when all other options have failed.

Treat the cause of the pain or injury, and you allow the body to heal itself.

Medication is often used to numb the symptoms.  Re-injury is very common, because the body can no longer protect the damaged area.

Surgery is damage to the body.  Only in extreme cases is damaging the body further the best treatment.

Scar tissue is the inevitable result of injury and surgery.  Unless you treat the scarred tissue, the tissue cannot heal properly.

 TREATMENT

Invasive treatment involves surgical and injections of  drugs.  This should only be done when all other options have been tried. See: Inflammation

Effective treatment involves removing the stress from the tissue, and letting the body heal itself.

Deep tissue massage and stretching techniques can provide rapid relief.  Avoiding further injury by strengthening the healing tissue.
